AUTOMATION ENGINEER SENIOR

The ideal candidate will be able to carry out the following activities:

  • Development and programming of software for industrial automation, PLC and Motion Control;
  • Development of HMI software;
  • On-board machine electrical equipment and automation of conveying and handling lines;
  • Understanding of the electro-mechanical system and of the wiring diagrams;
  • Definition of the plant communication network;
  • Testing and commissioning of plants and components; replacement, installation and configuration of inverters;
  • Drafting of technical documentation;
  • Development of updates and of integrations/customisations, both at software level and in the updating of wiring diagrams;
  • Management of the customer relationship, including on-site visits to handle the supply in the best possible way.

Ideal profile

  • Italian ITI technical diploma (engineering degree optional) in automation, mechanics, electromechanics, mechatronics, robotics or equivalent subjects;
  • More than 5 years' experience in the role, gained in modern, well-structured companies with a strong focus on the national and international automation market;
  • Full availability for national and, above all, international travel for at least 120 days a year;
  • Good to excellent knowledge of the programming software for Siemens and Rockwell PLCs, HMIs and Drives (essential); other brands are a plus;
  • Excellent knowledge of the dynamics and of the technical and application characteristics of electrical, mechanical and robotic drives;
  • Ability to read and correct electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams;
  • Good knowledge of English;
  • Residence close to the company, within Tuscany, central-northern area (in order of preference: Pisa, Livorno, Lucca, Florence and Massa);
  • A candidate of sound integrity, responsible and entirely trustworthy, with a strong aptitude for both teamwork and independent work, and an even temperament;
  • Strong ability to deal with third parties, in particular with customers: maximum flexibility and availability;
  • Ability to work towards objectives, assertiveness, proactivity and problem-solving;
  • A practical mindset and openness to innovation.

What we offer

  • Contract: Italian national collective agreement for the metalworking industry (CCNL Metalmeccanici Industria);
  • Position: full-time;
  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00;
  • Gross annual salary up to €40,000.00;

The ideal candidate will be able to carry out the following activities:

  • Development of HMI software;
  • On-board machine electrical equipment and automation of conveying and handling lines;
  • Understanding of the electro-mechanical system and of the wiring diagrams;
  • Definition of the plant communication network;
  • Testing and commissioning of plants and components; replacement, installation and configuration of inverters;
  • Drafting of technical documentation;
  • Development of updates and of integrations/customisations, both at software level and in the updating of wiring diagrams;
  • Management of the customer relationship, including on-site visits to handle the supply in the best possible way.

Ideal profile

  • At least 2 years' experience in the role, gained in modern, well-structured companies with a strong focus on the national and international automation market. Candidates with less experience are also considered, provided they are eager to learn the trade and to travel;
  • Full availability for national and, above all, international travel for at least 120 days a year;
  • Good knowledge of the programming software for Siemens and Rockwell PLCs, HMIs and Drives (essential); other brands are a plus;
  • Good knowledge of the dynamics and of the technical and application characteristics of electrical, mechanical and robotic drives;
  • Ability to read and correct electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams;
  • Good knowledge of English;
